Foreword

Who do you turn to for wisdom when you need answers?

Personally, I've turned to many people at different times throughout my life. I've never really had what we'd call a stable foundation to build myself on in life. I've moved frequently—almost as many times as the years I've been alive. I don't come from wealth, and was never really engaged by the school system. I've always struggled to find a purpose during my time on this world, but my stuggles, as I've found, have provided some of my greatest oppurtunities to grow and gain strength.

The people I've met, the people I've looked to, and the people I've learned from… they've impacted me in more ways than I can count. They've taught me the value of wisdom, grace, honor, loyalty, kindness, love, and so much more. These traits, and all the others they've impressed upon me, have allowed me to make sense of the chaotic, injured world that we live in. Without those things, I'd have no way of navigating the storms that ail us so often and the catastrophes that surround us so much.

Because I've lacked a role model I can rely on for pretty much all my life, I've had to stitch together much of what I know. While it's nothing special—at least in my own opinion—it's something that I want to pass on. I want to impart it in turn, carrying on the legacy of men and women far greater than I could ever hope to be, and more than that, I want to add my own. That's why I decided to create this website. To give a home to all my wayward thoughts and existential ponderings.

With that in mind, and without any further ado, welcome to The Pastebih. I hope you love what I've built, and gain something great from the words that find rest here. May you find wisdom in their truths and utility in their convictions.
